Transportation of patients with limited mobility

In most cases, transportation of patients with limited mobility – from hospital to home or vice versa, from one medical institution to another, over long distances, from city to city – is a practically unsolvable problem due to the high cost of such a service and the lack of vehicles adapted for such purposes, properly equipped, accompanied by qualified personnel. Solving this problem by organizing a special service, purchasing and equipping special vehicles, training escort specialists is a task that is feasible for the Health and Mercy Charity Foundation.

Free consultation of citizens by doctors of various specialties

In today’s Ukrainian healthcare system, a patient’s visit to a specialist is often associated with a number of difficulties. First of all, he needs a referral from a family doctor – with the exception of a dentist, gynecologist, psychiatrist, narcologist and phthisiatrician – which delays the process of analyzing the disease and, accordingly, timely adoption of treatment measures. The patient first waits for weeks to see a family doctor, then waits for the same amount of time to see a specialist. In some cases, such a wait is not critical, while in others it can result in a serious deterioration in health.

Targeted assistance to socially vulnerable citizens in obtaining necessary medications

Despite the state program “Affordable Medicines”, which covers a number of patients with chronic diseases – in particular, this concerns cardiovascular diseases, type II diabetes, bronchial asthma, mental and behavioral disorders, epilepsy and some others – there are many situations when sick people are left without the opportunity to maintain their health in a satisfactory condition in a timely manner.
