In the conditions of the full-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, access to medical drugs is very difficult in many settlements located in the frontline zone. There is a constant shortage of medicines – and this may cost some sick citizens their lives.
The Zaporizhia region, most of which is occupied by Russian troops, is a frontline region. Residents of the Zaporizhia and Pologovsky districts, the cities of Gulyaipole, Orekhov, villages located near the line of combat conflict, from the first days of the war were left not only without a livelihood, but also without vital medicines.
From March 2022 to March 2025, the Health and Mercy Charity Foundation, in cooperation with representatives of the volunteer movement, organized the delivery of more than two and a half tons of various drugs to the frontline areas of the Zaporizhia region: painkillers, statins, drugs for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, insulin, antihistamines, glucocorticosteroids, etc. Work in this area does not stop for a minute.
