In most cases, transportation of patients with limited mobility – from hospital to home or vice versa, from one medical institution to another, over long distances, from city to city – is a practically unsolvable problem due to the high cost of such a service and the lack of vehicles adapted for such purposes, properly equipped, accompanied by qualified personnel. Solving this problem by organizing a special service, purchasing and equipping special vehicles, training escort specialists is a task that is feasible for the Health and Mercy Charity Foundation.
It is quite clear that the provision of such a service cannot be completely free, but the goal of the Foundation is to make it as high-quality and professional as possible and to take on a significant part of the cost. Thus, transportation of patients with limited mobility will become more accessible, and this, in turn, will increase the opportunities for improving their condition, optimizing the treatment and recovery process.
